My Journey to Freedom through Forgiveness

Precious Scars Memoir On Child Abuse

I deliberately wrote this book in the first person because, however cumbersome the style might be, I hoped to relay to the reader that this is my journey. If you identify with some of the footsteps I have taken, maybe my words can provide insight, clarity, or comfort. I view life as a journey that every soul must travel to learn its lessons. At this point in time, within these pages are the discoveries I have made on mine.

From the Introduction

The reader will not find any answers here, just perspectives. Naturally, my perspectives changed when my awareness evolved and I altered the direction in which I traveled. It is possible these articles will challenge your belief system. If you let yourself engage with your feelings, these stories may evolve for you and lead you to an understanding of where I have been. If one story does not elicit a reaction from you, perhaps the next one will. What is important is that the reader then has the responsibility to engage with those reactions. If it stimulates awareness, the reader, in effect, becomes his or her own teacher. I do hope you will examine your reactions, whether positive or negative, to see where they will take you.
